September 5, 2023: Covina, CA 91723 The Covina Colts volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting El Monte Lions to 1 in the Colts non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Colts now possess a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Baldwin Park for a non-league game on Thursday, September 7. Covina will meet a Braves team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Bassett (La Puente, CA). The Braves record now stands at 0-8.
The Lions (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Gabrielino (San Gabriel, CA). The Eagles enter the Mission Valley game with a 8-2 record. In their last game, Gabrielino was dropped by Diamond Ranch (Pomona, CA), 1-0, in a non-league game.
