North Carolina High School Football - New Bern tops West Craven
September 5, 2024: Vanceboro, NC 28586 The New Bern Bears football squad scored 36 points and limited the host West Craven Eagles to 6 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Knightdale for a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. New Bern will meet a Knights squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over South Granville (Creedmoor, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, West Craven drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Havelock (Havelock, NC) to meet the Rams in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Rams come into the test with a record of 1-1. Havelock lost 28-20 in their recent non-league test against Laney (Wilmington, NC)
