September 5, 2024: Henderson, NC 27537 The Vance County Vipers football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Orange Panthers to 8 in the Vipers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vipers now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nash Central for a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. Vance County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 22-8 non-league loss to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Orange drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Montgomery Central (Troy, NC) to meet the Timberwolves in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Timberwolves come into the test with a record of 0-1. Montgomery Central lost 16-0 in their recent non-league test against South View (Hope Mills, NC)
