September 5, 2024: Carthage, MO 64836 In Thursday's non-league contest, the Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO) soccer team walloped the visiting New Heights Christian Academy Cougars (Joplin, MO), by a tally of 6-1.
With the triumph, Carthage advances its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Springfield Catholic (Springfield, MO) to clash with the Fighting Irish in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Fighting Irish come into the test with a record of 1-0.
The Cougars now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joplin for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 10. New Heights Christian Academy will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
