New York High School Soccer - Copiague knocks off St. John the Baptist
September 5, 2024: Copiague, NY 11726 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Copiague Eagles (Copiague, NY) and the visiting St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), saw Copiague's soccer squad knock off St. John the Baptist by a count of 3-0.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Commack (Commack, NY). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Commack tipped Bay Shore (Bay Shore, NY), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the St. Dominic Bayhawks (Oyster Bay, NY) in a NSCHAA battle, on Tuesday, September 10. St. John the Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
