September 5, 2024: Marshalltown, IA 50158 Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Columbus improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Sailors travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to face the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 3-0. Solon won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA)
The Bobcats now own a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waverly-Shell Rock for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Marshalltown will face a Go-Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hudson (Hudson, IA). The Go-Hawks record now stands at 1-2.
