Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) and the host Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA), observed Piedmont Hills's volleyball team top Yerba Buena by a count of 3-0.

The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pioneer (San Jose, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Pioneer notched a victory over Presentation (San Jose, CA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
