The Ruston Bearcats overwhelmed the host Acadiana Rams football squad by a margin of 46-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats face the Cabot Panthers (Cabot, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Ruston will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 52-14 non-league loss to Bentonville West (Centerton, AR).

The Rams (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Zachary (Zachary, LA). The Broncos enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Zachary bounced Plaquemine (Plaquemine, LA), 52-28, in a non-league challenge.
