South Dakota High School Football - Irene/Wakonda crushed by Alcester-Hudson
September 5, 2025: Alcester, SD 57001 The Alcester-Hudson Cubs walloped the visiting Irene/Wakonda Eagles football team by a score of 41-8 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Cubs play the Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Alcester-Hudson will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 60-14 non-league win over Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD).
The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD). The Rutland go into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland was ripped by Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD), 30-20, in a league challenge.
