Virginia High School Football - Rustburg nudged by Appomattox County

September 5, 2025: Appomattox, VA 24522

In Friday's non-league game, the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) football team edged the visiting Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA), by a tally of 16-14.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 12. Appomattox County will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Pioneers enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 33-14 non-league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).

The Red Devils (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Magna Vista held off Martinsville (Martinsville, VA), 36-0, in a league game.
