Somerset Academy Collegiate Bears (San Antonio, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Austin Achieve Polar Bears (Austin, TX), 50-39 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Somerset Academy Collegiate advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bears travel to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 2-0. New Braunfels Christian Academy won 43-13 in their recent non-league battle against St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX)
