Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) and the visiting Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), saw Dawson County's football team achieve victory over Banks County by a final score of 32-22.

With the win, Dawson County advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Pickens (Jasper, GA) to play the Dragons in a AAA Region 6 match on Friday, September 19. The Dragons come into the match with a record of 3-0.

Coming up next, the Leopards confront the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 12. Banks County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bears come into the match with a 3-1 record after their 35-14 non-league win over Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA).
