The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) and the host Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), saw Benedictine's football team bounce Matoaca by a final score of 38-0.

With the win, Benedictine advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Cadets travel to Blue Ridge (St. George, VA) to encounter the Barons in a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Blue Ridge won 21-12 in their recent league bout against Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA)

The Warriors now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Louisa County for a non-league contest on Friday, September 19. Matoaca will battle a Lions squad coming off a 36-0 non-league win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.
