September 5, 2025: Bettendorf, IA 52722 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bettendorf Bulldogs (Bettendorf, IA) and the visiting Iowa City Little Hawks (Iowa City, IA), witnessed Bettendorf's football squad topple Iowa City by a count of 21-7.
The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks enter the 5A Group 5 contest with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Prairie overcame Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA), 38-13, in a non-league battle.
The Little Hawks now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Northwest for a 5A Group 1 battle on Friday, September 12. Iowa City will encounter a Wolves team coming off a 27-24 non-league win over Valley (West Des Moines, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-0.
