In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Brownell Talbot Raiders football squad scored a close 16-14 triumph over the Falls City Tigers.

The Raiders (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne (Wayne, NE). The Blue Devils go into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Wayne was tipped by Cedar Catholic (Hartington, NE), 55-7, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Conestoga for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Falls City will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 22-6 non-league loss to Arlington (Arlington, NE). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
