The Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) football trounced the visiting Caney Creek Panthers (Conroe, TX), 48-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Bears now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Elgin for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. Montgomery will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-0 non-league loss to Anderson (Austin, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Caney Creek drops to 0-2 on the year. The Panthers host Willis (Willis, TX) to battle the Wildkats in a 6A Region II District 13 game on Friday, September 12. The Wildkats enter the game with a record of 1-1. Willis lost 42-13 in their recent non-league game against Klein Collins (Spring, TX)
