The Morehead Panthers football squad (Eden, NC), was outscored 23-13 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Cummings Cavaliers (Burlington, NC)

The Cavaliers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Bartlett Yancey was topped by Northwood (Pittsboro, NC), 36-18, in a non-league bout.

The Panthers now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to J.F. Webb for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. Morehead will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 71-32 non-league loss to Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
