Missouri High School Football - Diamond thwarted by Pierce City
September 5, 2025: Diamond, MO 64840 Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Diamond Wildcats (Diamond, MO), 30-13 in a league match.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Sarcoxie (Sarcoxie, MO). The Bears go into the Southwest battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Sarcoxie was dropped by Hollister (Hollister, MO), 37-20, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Southeast for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Diamond will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Fredonia/Elk Valley (Fredonia, KS). The Lancers record now stands at 1-0.
