In Friday's non-league match, the host Edwards Tigers football squad scored a good 38-20 victory over the Gentry Rams.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS). The Choctaws enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, West Tallahatchie thwarted West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS), 28-18, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Humphreys County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Gentry will play a Cowboys team coming off a 28-26 non-league loss to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS). The Cowboys record now stands at 0-2.
