Missouri High School Football - Howell Central thwarted by Festus
September 5, 2025: Festus, MO 63028 Festus Tigers (Festus, MO) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO), 35-7 in a non-league test.
The Tigers now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Windsor for a Mississippi Area - Red test on Friday, September 12. Festus will meet a Owls squad coming off a 36-6 non-league win over Affton (St. Louis, MO). The Owls record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Howell Central drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Vianney (Kirkwood, MO) to play the Golden Griffins in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. The Golden Griffins go into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Vianney won 29-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Union, MO)
