The Harper Longhorns football squad (Harper, TX), was nudged 41-39 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Sabinal Yellowjackets (Sabinal, TX)

The Yellowjackets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Geneva (Boerne, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Geneva got by La Pryor (La Pryor, TX), 59-20, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Longhorns confront the Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Harper will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 59-0 non-league loss to Goldthwaite (Goldthwaite, TX).
