In Friday's non-league outing, the Mater Academy Charter Lions (Hialeah Gardens, FL) football squad trounced the visiting Hialeah Gardens Gladiators (Hialeah Gardens, FL), by a margin of 62-0.

The Lions now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Miramar for a 5A District 16 outing on Friday, September 12. Mater Academy Charter will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 24-14 non-league loss to McArthur (Hollywood, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 1-2.
