The Hoover Cardinals football squad scored 36 points and limited the visiting Vincent Memorial Scots to 29 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montgomery for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Hoover will meet a Aztecs squad coming off a 35-14 non-league win over Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 2-1.

The Scots (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Clairemont (San Diego, CA). The Chieftains enter the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Clairemont was edged by Southwest SD (San Diego, CA), 21-13, in a non-league challenge.
