In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Premont Cowboys football team scored a big 54-6 win over the John Paul II Centurions.

In their next game, the Cowboys play the Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Premont will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Red Ants go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 17-6 non-league win over Kaufer (Riviera, TX).

The Centurions (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Paul (Shiner, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, St. Paul was ripped by Bay Area Christian (League City, TX), 49-0, in a non-league test.
