The Kettle Run Cougars football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Meridian Mustangs to 8 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Skyline for a Northwestern game on Friday, September 12. Kettle Run will face a Hawks team coming off a 41-20 non-league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Annandale (Annandale, VA). The Atoms enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Annandale ran past Freedom (Woodbridge, VA), 42-6, in a non-league game.
