Illinois High School Football - Peotone thwarted by Marengo
September 5, 2025: Peotone, IL 60468 Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), 41-21 in a non-league battle.
With the triumph, Marengo upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Indians host Woodstock North (Woodstock, IL) to meet the Thunder in a Kishwaukee River test on Friday, September 12. The Thunder go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Woodstock North lost 40-13 in their recent non-league challenge against IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL)
With the defeat, Peotone drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to meet the Wildcats in a Illinois Central Eight test on Friday, September 12. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-1. Wilmington won 49-6 in their recent non-league test against Sandwich (Sandwich, IL)
