The Marian Catholic Spartans football squad (Chicago Heights, IL), was outscored 38-7 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Morton Potters (Morton, IL)

The Potters (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants enter the Mid-Illini contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Canton was outscored by Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 41-27, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Spartans confront the DePaul College Prep Rams (Chicago, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Marian Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 24-14 non-league loss to Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL).
