In Friday's non-league battle, the host Richland Springs Coyotes football team scored a nice 42-14 win over the May Tigers.

With the win, Richland Springs advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Coyotes host Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Panthers go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Nueces Canyon lost 58-54 in their recent non-league battle against Highland (Roscoe, TX)

The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rochelle for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. May will play a Hornets team coming off a 65-16 non-league loss to Menard (Menard, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.
