In Friday's non-league match, the host Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado football squad scored a good 55-29 triumph over the Mayfield Cardinals.

The Blue Tornado (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Madisonville-North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY). The Maroons come into the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Madisonville-North Hopkins defeated Hopkins County Central (Madisonville, KY), 73-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Cardinals confront the McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 12. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 65-26 non-league win over Northeast (Clarksville, TN).
