The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) and the host Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), witnessed Metea Valley's football squad wallop Plainfield Central by a tally of 48-7.

The Mustangs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Naperville North (Naperville, IL). The Huskies go into the Southwest Valley - Blue bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Naperville North smashed Libertyville (Libertyville, IL), 21-14, in a non-league bout.

The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Romeoville for a Southwest Prairie - East bout on Friday, September 12. Plainfield Central will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 27-8 non-league win over Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.
