In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Northside Vikings football squad scored a decisive 49-8 triumph over the Ville Platte Bulldogs.

The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Sulphur walloped St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA), 13-10, in a non-league battle.
