Louisiana High School Football - Southside can't hold off Notre Dame
September 5, 2025: Youngsville, LA Notre Dame Pioneers (Crowley, LA) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), 35-28 in a non-league match.
The Pioneers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Ville Platte (Ville Platte, LA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Ville Platte was nudged by Northside (Lafayette, LA), 49-8, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Sharks play the Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Southside will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 28-20 non-league win over Lake Charles College Prep (Lake Charles, LA).
