In Friday's non-league battle, the host Olathe South Falcons football squad scored a decisive 63-7 triumph over the Shawnee Mission West Vikings.

The Falcons now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Great Bend for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Olathe South will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 42-7 non-league win over McPherson (McPherson, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.

The Vikings (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS). The Firebirds go into the Sunflower challenge with a 1-0 record.
