The Rhea County Golden Eagles football team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Ooltewah Owls to 0 in the Golden Eagles league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles face the Soddy Daisy Trojans (Soddy Daisy, TN) in a 5A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, September 12. Rhea County will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 21-0 non-league win over Signal Mountain (Signal Mountain, TN).

The Owls (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Tyner Academy (Chattanooga, TN). The Rams go into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Tyner Academy bounced Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN), 21-20, in a non-league challenge.
