September 5, 2025: Elmhurst, IL 60126 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL) and the visiting Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL), witnessed York's football squad wallop Plainfield North by a count of 38-3.
The Dukes (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Proviso West (Hillside, IL). The Panthers enter the West Suburban - Silver contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Proviso West was crushed by Proviso East (Maywood, IL), 10-8, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Oswego East for a Southwest Prairie - West battle on Friday, September 12. Plainfield North will play a Wolves team coming off a 24-7 non-league win over Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 2-0.
