The South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) football were victorious over the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), 24-7 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Pointers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Symmes Valley for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. South Point will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 55-27 non-league win over River Valley (Bidwell, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.
