In Friday's non-league game, the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) football team edged the host Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA), by a tally of 16-14.

In their next game, the Wolfpack face the Dallas Mountaineers (Dallas, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 game, on Friday, September 12. Wilkes-Barre will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
