September 5, 2025: Oakland, CA 94605 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Pittsburg Pirates football squad scored a close 25-20 victory over the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons.
The Pirates (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA). The Crusaders enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Archbishop Riordan nipped Monte Vista (Danville, CA), 40-7, in a non-league battle.
The Dragons now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Rancho Cotate for a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. Bishop O'Dowd will play a Cougars team coming off a 22-18 non-league win over Redwood (Larkspur, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.
