Connecticut High School Soccer - Naugatuck knocks off Waterbury Career Academy
September 5, 2025: Waterbury, CT 06704 Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Waterbury Career Academy Spartans (Waterbury, CT), 12-1 in a league test.
With the triumph, Naugatuck moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Ansonia (Ansonia, CT) to clash with the Chargers in a Naugatuck Valley test on Monday, September 8. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 2-3. Ansonia won 4-3 in their recent league test against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT)
The Spartans now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. Paul Catholic for a Naugatuck Valley outing on Monday, September 8. Waterbury Career Academy will confront a Falcons squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Torrington (Torrington, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
