DeSoto Dragons (DeSoto, MO) fans exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they witnessed their softball team run past the visiting Northwest Lions (Cedar Hill, MO), 8-0 in a non-league match.

The Dragons (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Fredericktown (Fredericktown, MO). The Black Cats come into the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Fredericktown notched a victory over Saxony Lutheran (Jackson, MO), 9-6, in a non-league game.

The Lions now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Pacific for a non-league game on Monday, September 8. Northwest will play a Indians squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Cuba (Cuba, MO). The Indians record now stands at 1-0.
