The Akins Eagles (Austin, TX) volleyball knocked off the host Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 3-0 in Friday's non-league match.

Next up, the Eagles confront the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 match, on Tuesday, September 9. Akins will attempt to move on its 8-16 season record. The Chaparrals enter the match with a 20-10 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, TX).
