Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX) and the visiting New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX), saw Pine Tree's volleyball squad notch a victory over New Diana by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Pine Tree improves its record to 17-10 on the season. The Pirates travel to Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, September 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 18-11.

Next, the Eagles meet the Canton Eagles (Canton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 6. New Diana will attempt to upgrade on its 12-15 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 14-12 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Marshall (Marshall, TX).
