The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Parsons Vikings (Parsons, KS) and the visiting Anderson County Bulldogs (Garnett, KS), observed Parsons's football squad edge Anderson County by a tally of 13-6.

The Vikings now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Iola for a non-league outing on Friday, September 10. Parsons will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 38-0 non-league win over Osawatomie (Osawatomie, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
