Kentucky High School Soccer - South Laurel held off by Garrard County
September 6, 2022: Lancaster, KY 40444 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) and the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), saw Garrard County's soccer squad get by South Laurel by a count of 2-1.
The Golden Lions now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Berea for a non-league test on Thursday, September 8. Garrard County will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Sayre (Lexington, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, South Laurel drops to 2-4 on the season. The Cardinals travel to North Laurel (London, KY) to meet the Jaguars in a District 49 test on Thursday, September 8. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 7-2. North Laurel won 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Southwestern (Somerset, KY)
