Florida High School Volleyball - Yulee crushed by Bishop Kenny
September 6, 2022: Jacksonville, FL 32207 The Bishop Kenny Crusaders topped the visiting Yulee Hornets volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Crusaders now have a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bolles for a 4A District 4 test on Thursday, September 8. Bishop Kenny will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Nease (Ponte Vedra, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
The Hornets (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Fletcher (Neptune Beach, FL). The Senators enter the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Fletcher was knocked off by Fernandina Beach (Fernandina Beach, FL), 3-0, in a non-league test.
Match Summary
The Crusaders had another great win against Yulee winning in 3 games. Top offensive and defensive performances came from our middles with Olivia Ryno leading with 9 kills and 3 blocks and Skylar Fick with 6 kills, a .500 hitting percentage and 3 blocks. Cat Haen and Lizzy Austin combined for 33 assists and Sarah Seabrooke lead the defense with 13 digs. Additionally the team accumulated 13 aces with 3 coming from both Cat Haen and Emmy Estrada.
