September 6, 2022: Hattiesburg, MS 39401 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS) and the visiting West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS), saw Sacred Heart's volleyball squad beat West Jones by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Sacred Heart upgrades its record to 16-2 on the year. The Crusaders host North Forrest (Hattiesburg, MS) to play the Eagles in a Class 1 Region 8 bout on Thursday, September 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-3. North Forrest lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Stringer (Stringer, MS)
The Mustangs now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Laurel for a Class 5 Region 5 bout on Tuesday, September 13. West Jones will play a Golden Tornadoes squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 1-6.
