Georgia High School Softball - Pope bounces North Atlanta
September 6, 2023: Marietta, GA 30062 Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Atlanta Warriors (Atlanta, GA), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Greyhounds now sport a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Forsyth for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Pope will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 14-8 league loss to South Forsyth (Cumming, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, North Atlanta falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Thomas County Central lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA)
