September 6, 2024: Melbourne, AR 72556 The Melbourne Bearkatz football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Bald Knob Bulldogs to 0 in the Bearkatz non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bearkatz now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cave City for a non-league test on Friday, September 13. Melbourne will meet a Cavemen squad coming off a 42-7 non-league win over Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Cavemen record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Bald Knob drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Des Arc (Des Arc, AR) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-0. Des Arc won 46-8 in their recent non-league test against Hazen (Hazen, AR)
