In Friday's non-league match, the host Midland Christian Mustangs football squad scored a good 20-3 triumph over the Bishop Lynch Friars.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Bushland (Bushland, TX). The Falcons come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Bushland defeated Canadian (Canadian, TX), 42-21, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Friars confront the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish (Oklahoma City, OK) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 14. Bishop Lynch will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 39-25 non-league win over Bishop Kelley (Tulsa, OK).
