Virginia High School Football - Smithfield holds off Churchland
September 6, 2024: Smithfield, VA 23430 The Smithfield Packers football squad scored 14 points and limited the visiting Churchland Truckers to 13 in the Packers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Packers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jamestown for a Bay Rivers test on Friday, September 20.
With the defeat, Churchland drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Truckers host Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA) to clash with the Mighty Bookers in a Eastern test on Friday, September 13. The Mighty Bookers come into the test with a record of 0-2. Booker T. Washington lost 68-0 in their recent non-league test against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA)
